People

We are constantly looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and bright researchers to join the Smith Research Group. There are opportunities for research at all levels including Undergraduate Research Projects, PhD and Post-doctoral positions.

Funded positions will be advertised through the university website and via academic publications. Research workers within the Smith Group will be exposed to a wide range of synthetic and analytical techniques, which are ideally suited to careers in both academia and industry.

Undergraduate Research Projects:

Undergraduate Research Projects are available in all of our research areas. If you are interested in synthetic organic chemistry and working in the Smith Group contact Andrew Smith.

PhD Studentships:

Applications from prospective postgraduate students are welcome at any time. If you require further information on availability of PhD places, the research we are currently undertaking or funding opportunities contact Andrew Smith.

Post-Doctoral Positions:

Funded post-doctoral positions will be widely advertised, although we are always interested in hearing from suitably qualified people who are interested in our research. General postdoctoral applicants should examine funding opportunities to support their stay before asking for assistance with any fellowship applications.
